Michio Hoshino, a photographer known for his pictures of bears and other wildlife, was mauled to death by a brown bear on the Kamchatka Peninsula in eastern Russia. He was in his mid-40?s and lived in Fairbanks, Alaska.

The team behind Robot Chicken is collaborating again for a new stop-motion animated series on Adult Swim, called Titan Maximum.

Unlike the sketch format of Robot Chicken, Titan Maximum will follow the same characters each week. Says Adult Swim, “One hundred years in the future, Saturn’s moon Titan is defended by Titan Force Five, an elite squadron of young, brash pilots whose spaceships combine to form the giant robot Titan Maximum. As the series opens, the team has been disbanded due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of a team of dysfunctional misfits commanding a rustbucket robot.”

Titan Maximum is created by Robot Chicken co-creator Matthew Senreich and Robot Chicken producer/co-head writer/director Tom Root. While Seth Green, who created Robot Chicken with Senreich, is not credited as a creator here, he will executive produce along with Senreich and Green, and provide the voice for the show’s villain. Also starring on the show are Breckin Meyer, Rachael Leigh Cook, Dan Milano and Eden Espinosa.

Headed by Root, the writing staff includes Senreich and two notable comic book writers, Geoff Johns (Action Comics / The Flash) and Zeb Wells (Heroes for Hire / Amazing Spider-Man).

Titan Maximum premieres in September on Adult Swim.

And, he can fight Ali in the game. I will have this game day one. Then I can pick these two characters, go to spectator mode and let the computer duke it out to finally answer the age old question of who would win should the impossible dream match ever happen.

The Digital Future of Media

I have been seeing more and more in the media that our not too distant future will feature digital delivery of most of our media, including movies, books, video games, etc. Now I also see some people complaining how they like having the physical presence of a purchase they have made and don’t look forward to when digital delivery becomes the norm. Well from someone who has a pretty extensive collection of DVD’s, books, and video games, I for one can’t wait until these are available to just convienently download to it’s respective hard drive. Itunes has done wonders with my music collection and I will welcome a similar style system for different forms of media with open arms.
